Xtrema Production getting close

The Xtrema is almost finished Beta testing and getting rave reviews! We have bundled a high end LiPo charger and Watt-Meter in one package for great value. After we update our documentation, reflecting some remaining changes for manufacturability and reliability, we will be ready to release to production!

Unfortunately, I am sad to announce, that our beta testing has revealed some limitations and compatibility problems with the motor driver feature. The idea was to be able to use your charger to run your motor directly from the Xtrema. Although a nifty feature, it has giving us some technical problems meeting our quality standards. It works fine on very small motors at low voltages, but not well on larger motors or higher voltages thus limiting its usefulness. Not wanting to delay the release of the Xtrema further, we have decided to not include this feature and release the Xtrema as a LiPo Charger/Wattmeter.

Clearly, the fact that we have a charger with a watt-meter is truly unique and very practical to us electric flyer's. Although we are disappointed that we could not include the motor driver feature as hoped, all the tests that could have been performed with the motor driver can still be performed with a LiPo battery and the Wattmeter.
