Production parts being ordered!

We have been real busy wrapping up the Xtrema design with our beta testers and incorporating their inputs. Along the way we were also at the Toledo show and received more inputs from our customers. However, some of the most exciting news is that one of our beta testers, Dave Patrick of Dave Patrick Models has been charging some of the most cutting edge batteries with his Xtrema.

Dave has been using the new Flightpower EVO 20 packs with 20C continuous discharge and 30 C burst. He has also had the privilege of field testing the even newer Duralite Lithium Manganese batteries that are burst rated up to 40C discharge!. These new batteries were optimized for the robot market and are said to be immune to the flaming and smoking that other lithium technologies have been prone to. Additionally they can be charged up to 3C.

Dave has enjoyed the foolproof method of setting up cell count and current while using the Xtrema to charge these incredible new batteries. He put on some amazing demonstrations of his Cub and Ultimate powered by electric at Top Gun and SEFF this year.

George Hicks, winner of the 2004 E-TOC, has also given us favorable reports and valuable feedback using his Xtrema. George tells us it his most used and favorite charger. A flattering comment coming from such a knowledgeable individual in competitive electrics and aerodynamic design.

Our other beta testers Will Hicks of Will's Hobbies who was a pioneer of the modern glowplug starter and Lucien Miller former owner of LDM Industries have also been very helpful with the beta phase from a more technical perspective. We want to thank them for their help and contribution to the design.

Keep checking back for more information as the first production run rolls out.
